Manage the wall of fame
You set up everything for the wall of fame on the Manage tab. Only staff and admins see that tab, and only when the Wall of fame module is on. See Wall of fame.
Manage has four blocks: Exercises, Columns, Segments, and below them All scores.
Exercises
An exercise is what a score belongs to, for example Back squat 1RM or Fran. You need at least one before anyone can log a score.
Add an exercise with the plus button next to Exercises. You fill in:
- Name: each name can only be used once within your business.
- Measurement unit: what a score holds. Choose from Weight, Repetitions, Rounds and repetitions, Time, Calories, or Distance.
- Best score: Higher is better or Lower is better. When you pick a measurement unit, DoToo fills this in for you: lower is better for Time, higher for the rest. Change it when your exercise works the other way around, for example a wall sit where holding longer is better.
The list shows the measurement unit of each exercise and whether higher or lower is better. Edit an exercise with the pencil, delete it with the trash can.
Archive an exercise
You cannot delete an exercise that has scores. If you no longer use it, archive it: open the exercise with the pencil and turn on Archived. That switch only appears on an exercise that already exists.
An archived exercise:
- keeps all its scores and stays on the wall of fame;
- can no longer be picked for a new score;
- shows the Archived label in the list, and can still be picked in the filter above All scores.
Turn Archived off again to use the exercise again.
Columns
Columns are optional. They group the exercises on the board, for example into Strength, WODs, and Cardio. Without columns, all exercises share one column.
Add a column with the plus button next to Columns; a column only has a name. Use the up and down arrows to set the order of the columns on the board, the pencil to rename a column, and the trash can to delete it.
You pick the column per score, when you log it. If you delete a column, its scores stay; on the board they move to a column called No column.
Segments
Segments are optional too. With segments, every exercise has its own record per group, for example Men, Women, or 65+. Without segments, every exercise has one ranking.
Add a segment with the plus button next to Segments, with a Name and a Color. The board uses that color for the segment, like a marker on a whiteboard. If you pick no color, the segment gets a fixed color based on its place in the list. Use the arrows to put the segments in the order they appear on the board.
You cannot delete a segment that already has scores.
Hide the segment names
Below the segments is the Show segment names on the wall switch. It is on by default. Turn it off when the names add nothing, for example Men and Women: the colors still tell the segments apart on the board. Under Record holders, every row keeps its segment name.
Log a score
Log a score with Log a score, above All scores or above the board on the Wall of fame tab. You fill in:
- Member: who the score is for. You choose from the active members of your business.
- Exercise: archived exercises are not in the list.
- Performed on: the day of the performance. Today by default; an earlier day is fine, a day in the future is not.
- The score itself. Which field you see depends on the measurement unit of the exercise:
- Weight in kilograms.
- Repetitions.
- Rounds and Repetitions: under repetitions, enter the repetitions of the last, unfinished round.
- Time in minutes and seconds, for example 5:31 or 3:06.8. Seconds only (45) or with hours (1:02:03) work too. Always write the seconds with two digits: 5:03, not 5:3.
- Calories.
- Distance, with a choice between Meters and Kilometers under Distance unit.
Under the Wall of fame heading there are three more fields:
- Show on the wall of fame: already on for a new score. Only the best score per exercise and segment goes on the board, so you can safely turn it on for a lower score.
- Column: the column on the board. When you pick an exercise that had a column before, DoToo fills in that column for you.
- Segment: the segment the score competes in.
The member gets a notification about the score you log. See My scores.
All scores
All scores lists every score of your business: those the business logged and those members logged themselves, including older scores that are not on the board. Use the field above the list to filter on one exercise. At the bottom you load more scores when the list is long.
For each score you see the member, the exercise, the score, the segment, the date, who logged it (The business or Self logged), and whether it is On the wall or Not on the wall. On a small screen some of those columns drop out.
From the menu next to a score you choose:
- Edit
- Put on the wall of fame or Take off the wall of fame
- Delete
Approve scores for the wall of fame
Scores that members log themselves do not go on the board automatically. You approve them by putting them on the wall of fame:
- Find the score in All scores. Under Logged by it says Self logged.
- Open the menu next to the score and choose Put on the wall of fame.
To also pick the column or segment, choose Edit instead and turn on Show on the wall of fame there.
The member gets a notification that the score is on the wall of fame.
When a member leaves
If you archive a member, their scores disappear from the board and from All scores. They are not deleted: if you make the member active again later, the scores come back. See Manage members.
